Wonderful comments above. I want to add that respect, for me, is never to be claimed from another person, by threat or by power. Respect is earned! That perspective distinguish true respect from fear.

RESPECT is to accept people regardless of there beliefs, political veiws, race, region, etc...respect the elderly, embrace younger people, and be ready work for a better society regardless of your position. Respect is to be humble and positive.
